    Glad you asked! In a nutshell, SparkWrite is a platform that connects really great writers with really great clients.

    Q. What kinds of jobs are on SparkWrite?

    A.

    Currently, SparkWrite is in the process of recruiting talented writers. Shortly we will be opening up the platform to hand-selected clients that will be posting jobs in a variety of writing genres. 

    Long term we plan to be the go-to-platform for good clients and hope to have everything from blog posts to ghostwriting books to white papers.  Of course, the job postings will be ever changing as they are filled and clients have other writing needs, so just keep checking back.

    Q. Why would a writer want to use SparkWrite?

    1) No fees for writers

    2) Find good clients without weeding through hundreds of ads posted by content mills

    3) As with your private clients, we won’t hover over your shoulder and tell you how to do everything

    SparkWrite is all about empowering freelance writers to have more freedom and more control over their careers. We want to help you build long-term relationships with clients for more sustainable work and income.

    Q. Why do I need to apply to be a SparkWrite writer?

    SparkWrite interviews every writer to ensure they are a real person with quality writing chops. We do this so that clients know they can trust you to deliver great work for their projects. Clients pay a monthly membership to be a part of this community and get access to the world’s best freelance writers.

    Q. How will clients know if I’m a good writer?

    A.

    Apart from the fact you made it through our screening process (good job!), you’ll have writing samples they can look at on your profile and, eventually, feedback and ratings from previous clients on our site.

    Q. Will I ever have to work on a project that I don’t want?

    A.

    We don’t assign work.  You find work by searching our job listings and pitching to them, so make sure you only pitch to projects you actually want to work on and are qualified for.

    Q. How does the monthly membership work?

    A.

    Clients pay a flat monthly membership to be a part of the SparkWrite community and get access to SparkWrite’s talented pool of writers. Clients can post as many writing jobs as they want – there are no limits! Once the client hires a writer for their project, the client pays the writer directly based upon their agreed terms.

    As part of the monthly membership, clients also enjoy an ever-growing library of resources aimed to help you grow your business and make the most out of your content. SparkWrite and a handful of trusted guest experts in entrepreneurship, content marketing, and publishing will be holding webinars and creating guides exclusively for our community members.

    Q. So SparkWrite doesn’t take any extra fees?

    A.

     

    Nope! We never take a cut of your projects. In fact, we don’t even have access to it because clients and freelancers negotiate their own contracts here. Ah, sweet freedom!

    This means clients can afford more projects without paying that extra (annoying) 10% on every piece of work, and freelancers can earn exactly what they agree on. That 10% really adds up, both for extra fees for clients and lost income for freelancers. So we thought, why not just cut that out!?

    Q. What about contracts and payments?

    Since we’re pro-freedom here at SparkWrite, clients and freelancers are free to negotiate everything on their terms. We don’t limit how you communicate and we don’t hold payments.

    We do, however, want you to be protected. Which is why we have suggested terms and contract templates that you can use for each and every project, and edit to suit your needs.
